Afternoons

2½ days

Option a) Monday/Tuesday 08:35 to 15:20pm and Wednesday morning 08:35 to 11:35am (161/hours), with the option to add the Wednesday afternoon session at extra cost, or

Option b) Thursday/Friday 08:35 to 15:20pm and Wednesday afternoon 12:20 to 15:20pm (161/hours)

30 hours funded

08:35-15:20pm (Monday-Thursday) and 08:35-11:35am (Friday)

15 hours funded by the government.  Any additional hours are chargeable at £5.50 per hour unless eligible for  a 30-hour code.

Please note:  Full day sessions have been extended to allow for a lunch break.  This will mean your child will be in school for 16.5 hours per week, rather than the usual 15 hours.  Due to the pressures on staffing and costs, we are regrettably unable to cover this cost internally.  Whilst you will continue to receive the Early Years Funding of 15 hours, in order to cover the additional 1.5 hours per week, we will need to request a payment of £7.50 per child per week, payable in advance half termly.  However, if you have a 30 hours code and are not utilising all the other 15 hours in another setting we can claim the additional 1.5 hours on your behalf.

Every parent must complete the application online at www.hertfordshire.gov.uk and for most schools a SIF (Secondary Transfer Form) must be completed and returned to the school you are applying to.  The SIF forms are available via the secondary school's website.

Full details about the procedure are published by Hertfordshire County Council and the deadline for applications is 31st October.
